Sneak Peek: Jess & Joe's Wedding at Harefield Barn

This is rather late in the day for me to be getting a sneak peek up but I had the small matter of almost 10,000 photographs to go through before choosing my favourites! This is a hint at how amazing this day was.

I have known Jess for many years now, I actually worked with her at my first ever job at a summer camp! Then when I met Joe for the first time, he clued me in on Crediton’s best kept secret - the cheesy garlic bread at Pigs (THANK YOU). All of this meant that, from the outset, I knew just how very fun this wedding was going to be. However, I was very wrong. IT WAS EVEN MORE FUN THAN I COULD HAVE IMAGINED.

The day was non stop laughs and the couple went above and beyond for couple shots. They even pioneered the fabled ‘lasso pose’ (see below). Maybe the funnest part of the day for me was seeing Jess cry with joy. Why was this so funny though? Well you have to understand that although it was an incredibly emotional and joyous day, Jess had managed to hold it together right up until the end. I’m talking no tears during the ceremony and maybe a drop during speeches but not much more than that. So what made her cry you ask?

The answer: A giant pasty with her name on it.

It is rare that I see an activity at a wedding which I have not seen before but volleyball definitely hits that criteria. It is safe to say that I did not expect people to go as hard as they did, it was intense to watch! More than anyone though, Jess and Joe were absolutely sending it which was truly a sight to behold. While I am at it, another thing I haven’t seen before is the father of the bride starting his speech by spitting bars from Rappers Delight - did not see that coming, unreal performance!

Jess and Joe, Where do I begin to thank you for such a cool, fun and beautiful day. There was hardly even a stressful minute and it is rare that happens. You two are the kindest, funniest and most hilarious hosts; you made me feel like a guest from the minute I walked in! I think I can vouch for everyone when I say that you absolutely nailed it. I just hope that mirror/table plan mkiii survived the nights antics!
