Sneak Peek: Sam and Marty's Wedding in Val d'Isère!
Every now and then I get the chance to shoot something dramatically different and this was one of those occasions.
My winters are spent working in ski resorts and I occasionally fly back to the UK for weddings during this time. However, on Saturday I got to shoot a wedding in Val, where I have been the last couple of seasons.
Sam and Marty are always up for a thoroughly good time - you are inevitably going to be smiling if you find yourself spending time with these two. Rarely will you find a more chilled out pair that can still absolutely send it when it comes to the couple photos!
Rather than your standard bride and groom preparation shots, we had a crazy ten minute photoshoot before the ceremony where I had to stop for breath between shots as I was laughing so much. Sam and Marty KNOW how to pose. Prior to the day, Sam had seriously downplayed the wedding to me but the ceremony was really beautiful! Plus, having heard the same words countless times at weddings, hearing how the French do it was amazing. A shot of Genepi to seal the deal was the both the best and the most Val d’Isère thing ever!
Another first for me in 100+ weddings is seeing the couple get pelted with snowballs after the ceremony. I was a big fan of that.
Sam and Marty - HUGE félicitations! You two are amazing, keep being yourselves and I will see you very soon!
