Engagement Shoot: Saara & Jack around London

I was excited about Saara & Jack’s wedding before this day out, now I absolutely cannot wait.

We had originally planned a couple shoot on Dartmoor, however anyone who has ever visited knows that good weather is a nothing but a vague concept on the moors. Inevitably, as the weekend approached, the skies the South West were looking particularly unfriendly, yet in London where Saara & Jack live, it was looking great. They were kind enough to invite me up for the shoot and we spent the day visiting places that had special meaning to them.

Not only was it a pleasure to finally get to meet these two in person but it was amazing shooting around parts of London that I never knew existed. Additionally, I am so used to almost exclusively shooting in the countryside that the opportunities of which shooting in a city provided had me in an excited frenzy!

The thing that really topped off the day though was how fun Jack and Saara were. My whole style of shooting is based around making couples laugh, making them comfortable and having fun. This way I can get some fun shots but also capture some more delicate, emotional moments in-between without any of the awkwardness. However, I would barely do or say anything and these two would be throwing shapes one minute and then having a gorgeous, gentle moment the next! I don’t often find couples that can match my energy levels but this was certainly one of those occasions and the whole day was unbelievably fun.

Saara & Jack, you two are the BEST. I didn’t stop smiling, nor did I stop telling anyone about our escapades for about two weeks after. Bring on this amazing wedding!
