Sneak Peek: Sophie and James' Wedding at Cott Farm
I have been sat here for quite a while now, trying to find the words to describe this day but I just can’t do it justice.
This was a day where I found myself unusually exhausted by the time I sat down for food, just because I had been so excitable for so many hours!
From my chat with Sophie and James before the day, I knew this was going to be an incredible wedding. However, I still wasn’t ready for just how wonderful it was!
Sophie and James put a lot of effort into planning their day so that it was meaningful for them which served both as a display of their journey as a couple, and as individuals. My whole thing is trying to capture personalities and they could not have made it easier!
Let me give you some examples:
• The boys donned proper kilt setups to represent James’ Scottish heritage, and then the chaps on the brides side had tartan ties, which represented Sophie’s Scottish heritage
• The ceremony was in Sophie’s local childhood church where she had sung in recitals when younger
• Sophie and James’ beautiful sausage woofer made an appearance in figure form on the wedding cake
• The unconventional table names all related to places from the couple’s history (Sophie and James were sat at Popworld)
I could go on and on but there were genuinely too many lovely personal touches to list!
I can’t finish this up without saying how intensely, undeniably lovely this couple are. Sophie and James made me feel welcome in their emails, in our calls, and overwhelmingly so on the day. The same goes for the people they surround themselves with - huge shouts to the bridesmaids, groomsmen, and all the family and friends I chatted to throughout the day!
