Sneak Peek: Gemma and Pete's Wedding at Kingston Estate

It feels like an age ago that I first spoke to Gemma and Pete, but the day finally came. The rain toyed with us in the morning but thanks to the sausage burying work of Jodie (Kingston’s wonderful coordinator), the sun decided to come out in full force. This could not have been more fitting for these two incredibly warm, sunny people!

Quote of the day came from Gemma with: ‘Twerking is who we ARE.’ I didn’t think she was including Pete with this statement but you will see that I was wrong below…

There were so many heartfelt and beautifully emotional moments that made this day so special. The father of the Bride’s speech had one of the best stories I have heard at a wedding: featuring Gemma’s rather shocking driving exploits as a child! Gemma also gave a wonderful speech which needs to become standard.

PSA to all future brides - give a speech. It doesn’t have to be long, at the very least you could stand up and thank everyone for coming. You won’t regret it!

Another thing I want to see more is a casual couple of overs in the evening. Pete is big into cricket and so an impromptu game broke out between the bands two sets which was absolutely hilarious!

This was a truly gorgeous day that was full of wonderful people. It was one of those days where I really remembered how lucky I was to get to do this!

Gemma and Pete - Thank you SO much for having me, you absolutely nailed it!

As always, thank you SO much to Jodie and the wonderful Kingston team. I am always so excited to get to shoot at Kingston. This is, in part, because the couples that this venue attracts are always so fab, in part because it is such a gorgeous place, but also because Jodie and the team are so much fun to work with!
