Sneak Peek: Alex and Lauren's Farm Wedding in Devon

Alex and Lauren are the kind of people that you need in your life. They have larger than life personalities that make you feel immediately welcome in their presence.

I hadn’t been home to Devon for a while and so this day in the countryside was extra special for me! You know you are shooting a proper west country wedding when it is on a farm - this was covered. You also know when you hear the classic devonshire accent bounded about - it was prevalent. Finally, you really know you are shooting a west country wedding when the guests are escorted to the church in a tractor-drawn trailer!

The church ceremony was easily the funniest I have ever got to shoot. There was so much hilarity but Alex absolutely belting out ‘All Things Bright And Beautiful,’ amongst other tunes, took the cake for me.

Another part of the day that had me in tears was the saga of Sally the horse. When that girl gets clip-clopping, she doesn’t wait for anyone. Lauren almost got reversed over when she arrived at the church and Alex nearly got sent off the back when they left! All in all though, she smashed it, 10/10 great horse, gorgeous too!

I also need to give a massive shout out to Emma the coordinator, all of the speeches, the amazing work that went in to decorate the reception venue, and the wild first dance.

Lauren and Alex, you two are iconic. Iris and the little one on the way are incredibly lucky to have you. Big thanks for a fantastic day!
